  13.                    TeX data base for WWW
  14.  
  15. We have a database containing information about TeX and related issues.
  16. The database is built so that it can easily be accessed via 
  17.      WWW  --  WorldWideWeb  -- 
  18. a public domain interactive line browser. It is meant to be used
  19. by both new and advanced TeX users.
  20.  
  21. Files within the database have been and are being copied (and modified) 
  22. from information lists pertaining to TeX; others have been written here.
  23. Files are constantly being updated and added.
  24.  
  25. Apart from general information pertaining to TeX, the database includes
  26. information pertaining to Hebrew TeX. This can, of course, be skipped
  27. by those who are not interested in the subject.
  28.  
  29. To use the TeX data base, you can telnet onto vms.huji.ac.il  
  30. (currently 128.139.4.3) with the username  WWW
  31.  
  32. Once you are within WWW, choose the entry 
  33.    "Computation Center Information"  [7]
  34. by typing   7   <return>
  35.  
  36. in the next menu, choose
  37.    "TeX News and Info"   [5]
  38. by typing   5   <return>
  39.  
  40. All the files contained in the TeX database can be retrieved via
  41. anonymous ftp from noa.huji.ac.il [132.64.254.10]   in  tex/www
  42. The file   top.html   is the top of the information.:

  44. Note: Our server is still running is the old port, not port 80.
